Final TPM in Braga, Portugal
The Federation of Youth Associations of Braga District (FAJUB) hosted the final Transnational Partners Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Democracy Tree” on July 31, 2025. The meeting brought together project partners from Bulgaria, Turkey, Cyprus, Ireland, and Estonia to review the project’s outcomes and discuss strategies for its future dissemination and sustainability.
Over the course of 24 months, the “Democracy Tree” project aimed to provide young people and youth workers with educational tools on democracy, EU history, and values, while promoting non-discrimination and combating racism and xenophobia. The project has produced two major results: a research study on cases of racism and xenophobia among young people in the EU, and the creation of the “Democracy Tree” mobile app, available on Google Play, which collects valuable materials on the history of democracy.
The project was funded by the European Commission and utilized innovative online processes for non-formal education activities. It strengthened European citizenship, fostered inclusion, and empowered young people from diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
The project partners are committed to ensuring the sustainability of the project’s outcomes, including continued engagement with the mobile app and the dissemination of research findings.
